Chester Shakes has been described melancholic and timeless in style. Triple J described Chester Shakes as ‘the new king of Australian outlaw with the ghosts of Leonard Cohen and Johnny Cash peeping through the curtain. ‘
Mitchell is the son of professional songwriter and multi-golden guitar winner Ian Quinn, writing songs for the likes of Slim Dusty. Chester Shakes most recent single ‘How Many Times’ has received national both national airplay on Triple J and international airplay in the US and England.
